Our lives can be generous with unexpected changes, hurdles, and turbulent periods. It can be easy to get overwhelmed by the never-ending array of responsibilities, and time constraints that accumulate without your awareness. This can and often leads to a feeling of exhaustion within your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Mindfulness involves being fully present in the current moment, rather than dwelling on the past, worrying about the future, or any other distractions that divert your attention from the present.

Notice the steam coming off the cup,
How many times you stir your spoon.
Notice how hot the cup is to the touch.
Do you hold the mug a certain way, and if you swapped hands, does it feel the same.
Do you take a sip from the same spot on the mug.
Acknowledge the taste, the smell.
Does it burn when you swallow and can feel it go down.
This is mindfulness, have you learnt anything new from being present when making your drink?
I could go on however, you may get bored reading on and on. Also, you all of a sudden be in the mood for a hot drink!
